In a crafty mood, I made some Christmas-y envelopes to hold my postcards. One free with postcard order.

It was fun to do, and inspired me to create another craft, utilizing some of those pretty x-mas cards i have received. More later on making recycled paper journals...

It's "springing" here in northern cal., thought i'd add a couple of flower paintings on this blog.

First painting is called "Uber Tulips" as it's very bright and "in your face"! I painted this with oilbars which are like artist crayons, fun to use and archival quality. This is on a Daniel Smith artist quality canvas panel and measures 12" each way. Painted in 2005.

Red sunflowers are a favorite of mine, I believe they are given food coloring after cutting to turn them this color. I added some coreopsis and greens and put them all in a tin vase to create a summer still life.

After I did the cave horse painting, this cow popped into my head, so I painted her/him.
It's an 8"x10" oilbars on clayboard like the horse.
